The medical marijuana industry got a beginning in Illinois only in November 2015. It aims at serving patients who obtain doctor's permission to treat any of the 40 specified chronic debilitating ailments such as cancer, HIV or muscular dystrophy.
While marijuana-infused food is very difficult and complicated to prepare, edibles provide the best alternative and are highly popular too. Edibles are preferred to smokable flower in many states in the U.S. that have allowed medical marijuana. Segal is hopeful that she would be able to make delicious edibles to help the people who have lost their appetite or taste due to illness.
The first line of marijuana edibles to be developed by Segal will be salted toffee smoked almond brittle, peanut butter brittle and caramelized white chocolate with butterscotch. Several other chefs are also planning to get into this marijuana edible business, confirms Segal without naming anyone. Segal's products would be available for sale at licensed dispensaries across the state, and in 5 additional states. comments powered by Disqus
